Sav Resources ("we", "our", or "us") operates FormVue. This page explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Key Point: Your data never leaves Google's servers. We only store license information for subscription management.

Information We Collect

When you use FormVue, we collect:

  • Email Address: Your Google account email for licensing
  • License Status: Whether you have a free or Pro subscription
  • Payment Information: Processed securely by Stripe; we never see your card details

Data Access & OAuth Scopes

FormVue requests only the minimum permissions necessary. Here is exactly what each permission does:

  • spreadsheets.currentonly — Reads Google Forms response data from the active spreadsheet and writes the generated dashboard (charts, formatted cells, summary statistics) to a new sheet within the same spreadsheet. This scope limits access to only the spreadsheet the user has open; no other spreadsheets are accessed.
  • script.container.ui — Displays the FormVue sidebar panel inside Google Sheets. The sidebar contains the sheet selector dropdown and the "Create Dashboard" button. No user data is accessed through this scope.
  • drive.file — Saves exported PDF dashboards to the user's Google Drive (Pro feature only). This scope only allows creating new files that FormVue itself generates. It does NOT grant access to any existing Drive files.
  • script.external_request — Makes a single HTTPS request to our license server (formvue-api.vercel.app) to validate the user's subscription status. Only the user's email address and license key are transmitted. The server responds with license status (free/pro) and usage limits. All requests are to our own server only.
  • userinfo.email — Retrieves the user's email address to associate it with their FormVue license. This ensures that a Pro subscription purchased for one email works in any spreadsheet opened by that account. No other profile information is accessed.

We do NOT:

  • Access any spreadsheet other than the one the user has open
  • Read or modify existing Google Drive files
  • Store spreadsheet data, form responses, or user content on external servers
  • Share your data with third parties (except Stripe for payment processing)
  • Access your Google account when you are not actively using FormVue

What Data We Store

  • License Key: Stored in your Google Account's User Properties (cache). Only you can access it.
  • License Record: Your email address and license status (free/pro) stored in our database at formvue-api.vercel.app for subscription management.
  • Usage Counts: Anonymous usage metrics (dashboards created, responses processed) stored in our database for enforcing tier limits.
  • Dashboard Preferences: Stored locally in your Google Account's User Properties.

We do NOT store: Spreadsheet data, form responses, chart data, or any content from your Google Workspace files.

How We Use Your Information

  • To validate your license and provide appropriate features
  • To process subscription payments via Stripe
  • To send important product updates (you can opt out)
  • To respond to support requests

Free vs Pro Tiers

  • Free tier: 1 connected form, up to 100 responses, basic charts (pie, bar, column)
  • Pro tier ($9.99/mo): Unlimited forms, unlimited responses, all chart types, PDF export, share links

Third-Party Services

Data Retention

We retain your license information while your subscription is active. After cancellation, we retain records for 90 days for accounting purposes, then delete them.

Your Rights

  • Access: Request a copy of data we hold about you
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data
  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from product emails
